About Me

Emma has no formal training in art, but has always had a love of arts  and crafts.  She left school in 1985 with a desire to be a graphic designer or a nurse. So Emma applied  for both courses,  she was accepted as a nurse and not an artist.  Emma felt God had his hand in this, and she accepted her nurse training after a two year foundation course.

Painting and drawing continued in her personal life,  and she experimented with many mediums to feed her desire to create.   She tried cross stitching, used pastels,  charcoals and murals.  But above all these her love is to use a woodburner or acrylics paints, where designs are so easily achieved.  Emma felt happy to use her skills as a hobby. But as time went on  she felt like, a very frustrated artist. Who was restricted by her professional life and a young family.

In 2005 the family were brought to Wiltshire, they settled very quickly finding a supportive churchand good social network .  Emma undertook her biblical counselling  and prayer ministry course which she completed in 2006.  During this time she started having pictures when she prayed for people.  But she did nothing with it other than tell the person involved.

In 2007,  Emma became unwell herself suffering with work related stress, after 21years with the  NHS.  At this point Emma was having panic attacks, suffering with agoraphobia, anxiety and insomnia.  Emma had a course of counselling and antidepressants commenced.  Her church supported her through this dark time.  A prayer minister  met with Emma, and here she started having her pictures again whilst praying. She really felt God talking to her through these images.  Emma felt compelled to start painting this pictures in order to share with people what she had seen. The ability to be able express her pictures artistically was cathartic and has added in her recovery.

Emma is grateful to God for his grace and ability to give gifts at her lowest time. We hope you enjoy sharing in the images.
